The Paunsaugunt Wildlife Museum is dedicated to increasing knowledge and appreciation of the diverse wildlife of the world, as well as explaining the role of wildlife management and conservation. The museum is nestled in the Paunsaugunt Plateau, named by the Piute Indians meaning “Home of the Beaver”, just minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park.

Founded in 1995, The Paunsaugunt Wildlife Museum was part of a collaborative effort between Robert Driedonks and the City of Panguitch. Through grants, the City of Panguitch was able to restore a historic building and Robert Driedonks began to live his dream to build one of the finest wildlife museums.

Since then, the museum has grown and relocated to the Bryce Canyon area in a brand new 14,000 SF facility that showcases exhibits with over 600 animals. The state of the art museum boasts balance color temperature lighting, rounded corners, beautiful 100% accurate wildlife habitat murals and is said to be one of the finest museums in the Western United States.
