The museum
offers many exhibits,
including more than 600 animals from around the world. All habitat
materials have been beautifully preserved and arranged with a lot of
attention to detail. In fact, Brian Wignall, one of the best museum
artists on the west coast, has spent relent-lace hours creating
murals that are 100% accurate to the natural environment that the
animals came from. Brian is known for his work in the Smithsonian,
Bass Pro Shop, Osaka Aquarium, Mirage Dolphin exhibit, federal
stamps and his most recent work with the TV show, “Southwest
Adventures”.
The new museum with
its balance color temperature lighting, rounded corners, beautiful
murals, and over 600 species of animals is as close to the “best” as
you can get. Every exhibit is 100% accurate to the natural
environment of the animals including the painted murals, plants,
animals, and bugs all the way down to the dirt. Unlike most wildlife
museums, all of the taxidermy at the Paunsaugunt Wildlife Museum was
especially designed for each display.
In addition to more than 600 animals from around
the world, the museum also features ocean
fish, birds of prey, Indian artifacts, and one of the finest butterfly collections on the West Coast with
more than of 1,400 butterflies.
After enjoying the museum, you can feed a heard of live European Fallow Deer
